The new H3 is built
on the Chevrolet TrailBlazer platform; however, it shares the same style
as its larger siblings. In addition to the Hummer look, the new H3 is
quite capable off-road. Features include a Borg-Warner two-speed
electrically controlled full-time four-wheel-drive system, a fully
locking rear differential, traction control, underbody shielding and
GMs StabiliTrak vehicle stability enhancement system. The H3 can be
outfitted with 32-inch or 33-inch all-terrain tires. At the other
end of the Hummer lineup, the H1 is the first model in the brands
Alpha performance series. H1 Alpha features GM's powerful Duramax
6.6-liter V8 turbodiesel engine teamed with an Allison five-speed
automatic transmission. The big diesel delivers 300 horsepower at 3000
rpm with an impressive peak torque of 520 lb-ft at just 1500 rpm.
The new H1 is also available with a 12,000-pound winch kit,
17-inch two-piece aluminum wheels with dual beadlocks, Goodyear GSA
tires, and front and rear Eaton ELocker locking differentials.
