A) Find the minimum half axle diameter for the Mercedes-Benz (190E 1.8) car assuming it has:

i- Semi floating axle

ii- Three quarter floating axle

iii- floating axle

The axle material has σ_{b all} = 55 MPa, τ_{s all} = 35 MPa

 

B) Calculate the equivalent loads on the half axle bearings.
