2- A single plate clutch has a torque capacity (Tc) of 180 N m, under a spring normal load (Fn) of 3016 N. The cultch friction plate mean radius (rm) is 80 mm.
The friction material is connected to the leaf springs via a number of rivets: - the rivet cross sectional area (Arivet) is 4.9 mm2 - the rivet material is LM6
Assume friction material uniform wear, find: a) the friction material maximum pressure (pmax), c) the number of rivets (n) due to shear stress, SF = 4 d) Derive the bending stress (σb) on the hub splines of the clutch friction plate using the symbols (Tc, D, d, b, L,nspline) |
