2- A single plate clutch has a torque capacity (Tc) of  180 N m, under a spring normal load (Fn) of  3016 N. The cultch friction plate mean radius (rm) is 80 mm.

The friction material is connected to the leaf springs via a number of rivets:

- the rivet cross sectional area (Arivet) is 4.9 mm2

- the rivet material is LM6

Assume friction material uniform wear, find:

a) the friction material maximum pressure (pmax),
b) the friction material coefficient of friction (
m),

c) the number of rivets (n) due to shear stress, SF = 4

d) Derive the bending  stress (σb) on the hub splines of the clutch friction plate using the symbols (Tc, D, d, b, L,nspline)
