This fall the Swedish automaker will get its first-ever SUV. The 9-7X is a midsize SUV that shares a basic platform with the Chevrolet TrailBlazer (Saab is owned by General Motors.) The 9-7Xs styling shares a number of styling cues with the rest of the Saab lineup, including the signature three-port grille, wraparound rear quarter windows and brand-distinctive wheels. The interior reflects the Saab look, with the ignition in the center consolethe traditional location for Saab cars. All-wheel drive will be standard on the 9-7X, as will 18-inch wheels with all-season high-performance tires, 4-wheel disc brakes, dual-piston calipers, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes and a rollover sensing system. Two engines will be available, including a 300-horsepower V8. If the 9-7X is too big.

Saab is also offering a new wagon built on the 9-3 platform. Called the 9-3 SportCombi, the sporty wagon offers considerable cargo capacity with the fun-to-drive qualities of its sedan sibling.
