The stylish 2-seater Solstice will sport a 2.4-liter variable-valve Ecotec DOHC four-cylinder engine producing about 170 horsepower, teamed with a close-ratio five-speed manual transmission. Eighteen-inch wheels with 4-wheel disc brakes will be standard, and a removable hardtop will be an available option.

For topless driving with room for four, a convertible version of the G6 will come to market early in 2006. The G6 convertible will feature a retractable hardtop�quite unique in this class of vehicle. A 2-door coupe will also join the G6 lineup later this year.

Meanwhile, Pontiac will get a compact SUV called the Torrent. Sharing a platform with the Chevrolet Equinox, the Torrent sports trademark Pontiac styling.
